Question 26 – What are the different types of CBD? The next question is, what are the different types of CBD? Well, you know, that depends on what you mean. So, what’s naturally occurring? What do you find in nature? So there’s, well I guess it’s the same. You can produce that artificially as well. But for cannabidiol, there’s and when I say like a letter after CBD, it’s usually represented as like CBD dash.
And then they’ll do that letter. Other ways of representing it are CBD with and a lowercase. At the end, it’s entirely preferential. There’s no wrong way to write it. Just like there’s different ways to express fractions. There’s different ways to express, I guess, you know, it’s not quite the same way, but I mean, it’s just a preference.
There’s a few different ways to, to write that. So you have CBD-a, CBD-n, well, CBD-g and then CBD and then CBD-n and then CBD-g. That’s what’s kind of found out in nature, and then out of different versions of just terminology that’s out there right now, you have everything from CO2 pulled, to infusions, to raw infusions, to winterized infusions you have CBD like, Thank you.
I shouldn’t say isolate. So then you have, you have CBD in a raw format, which is closer to like a, an infusion, long form extraction. You have distillates. You have crude, very crude distillates, somewhat crude distillates, not very crude at all distillates. A very clean distillate. There’s a couple different versions.
The process to make those is really similar, almost identical. If you’re from the vitamin industry to the way that they make MSM and Opti MSM, like almost. line for line identical. And then an isolate means that you’ve gone all the way down in that extraction process that you’ve really eliminated almost anything except one version of CBD.
And it’s usually more predominant cannabidiol, but it can be CBD-a or CBD-n and CBD-g. And those different versions that I mentioned is just like the browning of an apple. So CBD-a is almost like a green apple. CBD is like a red apple. CBD-n is kind of like a lightly brown apple. CBD-g is like a very brown apple.
But they all have different attributes. It’s not to say that they’re bad or worse or that they’re rotten or brown. That’s just different levels of oxidation. Okay. I hope that helps. All right
