I know, you’re thinking, “Who is Jeff? And why should I care?”
That’s a valid question, and I get where you’re coming from. Here’s some information for you to hopefully help answer both those questions, help you feel more comfortable with our products, and help you feel connected in my mission for next level products in everything that we make and do.
My name is Jeffrey Von Stetten, and I’m a Certified Clinical Nutritionist, Natural Products Educator, Cancer Survivor, and a Vegan of over 30 years, and I’m the Founder, Owner, and formulator for Jeff’s Best!-Hardcore Vegan Superfoods, makers of the Jeff’s Best!, Jeff’s Best Hemp! and Jeff’s Best Blends! family of products.
In addition to this, I worked in Human Services for over 10 years with varying populations, prior to transitioning to nutrition and health full time. I worked with a wide range of clients and demographics, ranging from children who were victims of abuse and neglect, people living with HIV/AIDS, helping to assess low income seniors for case management assistance and meal delivery, single parents struggling with childcare costs, and seniors who were at risk of, or already homeless, with a chronic and persistent mental health condition. In almost every instance, I saw how improved nutrition improved the overall functioning and wellness of my clients, in their physical and mental health.
After an unexpected diagnosis of Lymphoma, and a recovery that wound up being a unique spiritual experience for me, it helped to further shape the way I look at things, and where I wanted to invest my time and energy in helping people’s lives to be the best that they can possibly be at every level.
I’ve worked as a natural products representative and educator for over 18+ years, and am a Certified Clinical Nutritionist, receiving my accreditation from the Natural Healing Institute of Naturopathic Medicine formerly in Encinitas, CA., and now located in Hawaii. I’ve had the pleasure of working with some incredible companies over the years that at least at the time, I thought were great examples of how to do things right and how to really make an impact on the industry, and on people’s health for the better in a big big way.
Being dissatisfied and genuinely irritated with the offerings in several different categories that I thought could use alot of improvement, and that didn’t have anything for someone like me, someone who is vegan and wants vegan products, who is a cancer survivor, someone avoiding things in plastic, avoiding BPA and Xeno-Estrogens, someone who loves hemp and superfoods, someone who wants things that are gluten free, lab tested and pure, someone who wants to get better and be better, I decided to save my money, and make my own formulas, and launch my own products that satisfied the needs of someone like me. And that’s how this all got going!
15 years later here we are, with continual placement and growth in some of the top health food stores in Southern California and dedicated health passionate customers like yourself that recognize and embrace my insanely intense passionate quest to always have the best of the best of the best in all that we offer.
This is my company. I formulate all the products, and we are owned independently with no strings attached to financial investment firms, or shareholders, or shadowy board directors. The buck starts and stops with me, and that’s the way I like it for now.
My passion for purity and for incredibly next level products comes from simply looking for what I want to see in the market, and in how I would select something as ideal in shopping for myself. My love of the ocean, of nature, of God, and wanting to constantly push forward to help people and the earth to be better. Something with a real person behind it, that has a lifestyle and health needs that require the best of the best in everything that we do. The things I’m passionate about are what go into everything we do.
In my life, I’ve also suffered a tremendous amount of loss and close calls with very close family members, and loved ones due to cancer, parkinsons, and unforseen health issues that took people unexpectedly, abruptly, and have left me with everything that goes with that.
What goes into producing what we make, is both with that shared goal of helping people achieve optimal health with the best versions of a particular product that we make, as well as trying to take everything that comes from that loss, and put it into work and products to help people avoid ever having to experience the loss of a loved one from a horrible illness, and have an empty seat at their tables.
Purity and the avoidance of impurities for me is personal. It’s an absolute war against impure ingredients, and unhealthy packaging in every form.
As such everything we make is 100% vegan, produced in a facility that is strictly vegan all day every day, BPA and Xeno-Estrogen Free, Lab tested for potency, purity, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, heavy metals, gluten.
Our essential oils are all high grade therapeutic essential oils, predominantly Fair Trade and Organic, that are tested for all the above and any presence of fragrance or synthetic oils as well.
All packaging used is BPA and Xeno Estrogen free, sustainable, and compostable. If not in an Amber glass bottle, our items are in a Biotre plant plastic lined bag, that biodegrades in a landfill in 6-8 weeks, and has no BPA or Xeno-Estrogens.
It’s never just business with us. It’s always personal, it’s always from the heart, and it’s always the best of the best that we offer for our loved ones and customers.
