Question 33 & 34 – Can hemp seed oil or CBD help my dogs arthritis? – Can hemp seed oil or CBD help my dogs arthritis? Hey, so I am on to my next question here and this question, it’s going to be a bundled question. This comes to us from Cheri Wright and Cheri had asked, it was two things. One, is CBD or hemp seed oil helpful for her dog’s arthritis? And then also, do you have to take THC with CBD to make it most effective?

So I’m going to answer both of those. Thank you for your questions, your little bundled questions, Sherry. So with pets, they bene any mammal benefits from CBD and it seems to have, there’s good research that shows that it that they respond very well. It’s done by weight. So, like, on our, you know, on our Happy Paws formula, it’s just done for, like, a 120 pound generic mammal.

Male or female. And in vitamins and supplements, vitamins and supplements are always done usually for, like, a 120 pound person that is 12 years old or above. And that’s kind of it. Like, you’re generic. Younger mammal, but for pets you can scale that down by weight. Weight is what always determines it.

So, you know, just try to figure out what’s good for it. There really, there’s no toxicity ranges that have ever been listed for any mammals and you’re safe. Hemp seed oil in general works great for joints, for dogs, for horses. It’s actually very popular in the equine racing community. And ranch caretaking, anybody that just loves horses, works with horses, etc.

Has always given us really good reports that it just made their horse feel better and, you know, feel great in terms of having their joints be spongy, etc. So, hemp seed oil in general is great for your dog’s joints and coat. It, it usually makes it nice and soft, and their fur really good, so that’s always great feedback that we get about hemp seed oil in general, and peripheral information that’s come from some members in the Hemp Industries Association community there.

And then, your second question and then, does CBD, will CBD work with your pets? Yes, it helps them to feel calm, helps them to have less discomfort, so totally okay. And then, do you need THC with CBD to make it effective? Absolutely not. You don’t have to have THC. CBD is a totally robust, stand alone ingredient.

It doesn’t have to have anything else to make it more effective. Like, at all. Even the notion that you would have to have one with the other is a, it’s a leftover that comes to us from the cannabis community. That takes the thought process utilized for CBDA, or excuse me, for THCA into THC and they try to project it and say, cause like if you have THCA it doesn’t really have any psychoactive effects and isn’t quite as active per se in people’s bodies.

And so they just ponied up on that and tried to copy that same verbiage. into saying, oh, well CBD A or CBD also isn’t going to be effective unless you have, you know, something with it. With THC you really do want that converted form from THC A into THC if somebody’s trying to have a psychoactive effect.

But for cannabidiol, it’s fine. It’s robust on its own. CBD A, CBD. And that’s also found in cacao. Holy basil, turmeric as well as in the industrial hemp plant. So none of those other ones have THC, and they work just fine. Black pepper as well. And you know, it is a robust, independent… Go getting little ingredient that can stand on its own and doesn’t need any help from anybody.

So yeah, it’s very independent And can work just fine. So no, you don’t have to have THC in any blend to make a cannabidiol effective It is perfectly effective. In fact, usually better on its own and Even in nature before people started screwing around with all these weird Extra strong cannabis blends usually in nature medical cannabis shows up at about a one part THC to two part CBD ratio, which makes a lot of sense when you think about it because you want, you want the benefits of both that elevation, but also with a little bit of ground, you know, with grounding so that you feel comfortable and calm and happy.

I hope that helped. Your question and then especially yeah for pets like you really don’t want to be giving pets THC Like ever, you know because they can’t tell you when they’ve had enough Or if it’s comfortable or not comfortable for them It always just seemed I don’t know getting animals like getting animals high always just seemed kind of mean so but don’t But I mean who knows maybe there’s pets out there that are like yes, this is for me But to answer your question, that was a long way around the block to say no.

You don’t have to have THC in with your CBD to make it effective. It’s completely fine on its own. Okay? Okay.
