Question 8 – What is the difference between CBD and hemp oil?  So, next question, What is the difference between CBD and hemp oil? Oh my gosh. Guys, come on. Well, this is an important FAQ though, so we’ll do this question next. So I don’t know. The word hemp oil is this sort of doofy, bleary eyed, blindfolded, piñata swing at something that it doesn’t, it’s a nonsensical term.
So you have two proper types of terminology. You have cannabidiol. which is an extract that is derived from the fruiting body of industrial hemp that’s also present in the seeds to a certain degree. And then you have hemp seed oil, which is done by pressing the seeds of the industrial hemp plant which is very rich in omega 369 fatty acids.
It has naturally occurring chlorophyll. Vitamin E and gamma linolenic acid, they’re two very different. Nobody should be trying to bleary eyed, pinata swing, Oh, is this that hemp oil? There’s no such thing as just hemp oil. You have cannabidiol, or you have hemp seed oil extract. So you can have cannabidiol that is derived from an industrial hemp plant.
You can have cannabidiol extract, you can have cannabidiol extract, which is derived from a medical or recreational cannabis plant, which will also contain THC and have properties that can’t be sold outside of a recreational or medical dispensary here in the United States and in a few other countries.
And then you have hemp seed oil, which could be sold anywhere here in the United States and Canada, certain parts of Europe you know, there’s so many different countries, there’s like 140 something different countries in the world, if not more, and they all have different laws, and, you know, some of them took bad cues from the United States, some of them did their own thing it really, you know, China does a massive amount of Chinese hemp seed oil which is different, little, it’s not different species, but I mean the chain of custody is usually much less clean than what you would derive from Canada or even from parts of like Eastern Europe.
Anyways, but hemp, there’s hemp seed oil and there is cannabidiol and cannabidiol can be used in you know, can be derived from industrial hemp or medical cannabis, but there’s, that’s the difference. Between CBD and hemp seed oil, and nobody should be using the word hemp oil. Like, hemp oil doesn’t mean anything.
You need better terms. K.
