Okay, so we have a second question. This is video two with a question from Barley Monami on Instagram. And Barley’s question is, is a prebiotic necessary? And then it says digestive enzymes, question mark (Is a pre-biotic necessary and digestive enzymes)? I’m assuming, like, that this just means you’re asking if a prebiotic is necessary in general, and if digestive enzymes, to take extra, are healthy in general, so, I mean, are necessary in general.
So in terms of prebiotic, probiotic, stuff like that, honestly, prebiotics are not… Really something that’s as critical, a prebiotic, you have things like inulin, you have like agave inulin is really popular, lucuma mesquite, those are some things that make some very nice types of prebiotics, but I don’t really think they’re as critical, anywhere near as critical, or as effective as just a good probiotic.
And to help have healthy flora in your body. And I, I can think of a couple, you know, that I really like. And there’s some good brands that are out there. And, in general, there’s a good selection of probiotics that people can take depending on some of the specific things or specificity of their health issues that they want to take.
Everything from just a basic lactobacillus or like a liquid. Everything to like a specialized Lactobacillus and a bifidum and then you get into something that’s like a very well woven maybe shelf stable type that’s out there, but you really want to make sure if they’re shelf stable that they’re in a you know, bubble pack.
You don’t want to get stuff that’s shelf stable and like a dirt. You don’t want those. The dirt’s not your friend. You just rent those and then it leaves. So, in terms of digestive enzymes, digestive enzymes are always a great idea. I think everybody should always be loading up on more enzymes. Not only should you get a good well rounded enzyme with a great amount of lipase, and protease, catalase, and amylase, but I think it’s really good to load up on them when you’re not eating.
Like to also take them and to do like an enzyme fast, or like an enzyme therapy fast. You can learn a lot about that in Tom Bohager’s book called let’s see, I think it’s What the Experts Know About Enzymes, something like that. And it’s a great book, but it’s basically showing the importance of like, if you do a bunch of enzymes when you fast, that those enzymes can really go to town on knitting together damaged muscle tissues, helping with neurotransmitters, and helping to remove damaged proteins from the body through a process of autophagy.
And that will really help you out. So… (Is a pre-biotic necessary and digestive enzymes)? Prebiotics not needed. Digestive enzymes always good. Hopefully that helps answer your question, and thank you. Okay. Bye!
