Question 48 – Can industrial hemp be used to make soap?  Next question is can industrial hemp be used to make soap? Heck yeah, um some of the very best in my opinion I think some of the very best soaps that are out there as in the natural products world and in the conventional world Um utilize hemp seed oil Uh utilize hemp seed oil at in their base and in their formulas, uh, whether it’s a castile soap Or a, uh, cold process soap.

And when I say cold process, like you can do soaps two different ways for the bars. Um, you can do them in a way that it, well, they’ll, you know, they’ll dry and they become a hardened soap within about, I think, like two weeks. And then there’s a different process, it’s a cold process, in which case they have to cure and they take about six to eight weeks to become a solid bar.

And even then it’s not quite as solid, ten weeks, ten weeks is much better. Especially if it’s done in, um, you know, in a pretty cold, uh, climate.  And, uh, I think that hemp seed oil makes incredible soaps. Not only can it be used for soaps, but it makes some of the best soaps that are out there. Um, and, uh, it saponifies very smoothly.

Um, it’s just so nurturing to the skin. And helpful for people that have chronic issues as well as people that are just looking to have a really nice quality of skin. So yeah, you bet industrial hemp can, uh, be used to make good soaps. And you can also take some of the seeds, and some of the seeds can be added into the base as a, a natural, um, like scrubber, you know, exfoliator.

And that works good too, you know, having something that has a hemp seed oil, and then like some of the… The husk, you know, like the outer holes of the seeds like ground into it with the shell on makes a really great exfoliating soap. So yeah, you bet. Okay
