Question 46 – Can Industrial Hemp be used to make insulation for vehicles? Next question is about industrial hemp and it’s can industrial hemp be used to make insulation for vehicles? Very specific and yeah, yeah, it can. A lot of the inner panels that are used on two or three different types of pretty high-end cars. are done with an like an amalgam of, it’s a, the stalk that’s been mushed together kind of and turned into like a brick and that brick is then dried and sliced and those panels are done a lot with like hemp seed fiber and not like a hemp seed fiber derived from the seed.

They’re just done from the stalks. And I mean, there’s a specific word for the stalks if you want to get into it, but I want to say, I just want to keep it easy on like layman’s terms. So they take those stalks and they’re dried and like, yeah it makes incredible insulation and those same stalks are mixed in and blended into certain types of concrete.

For some of the most ideal building materials that we know of in the world. They’re fireproof and they’re mold proof and they hold heat and cold at a, at the sweet spot that everybody has tried to find for years and years and years. Coming up with these really specific blends of lime and you know, just different materials.

in their concretes for years and years and hemp seems to be the one that helps them hit it really easily, so. Yeah it is used as insulation in several cars. Usually if you pull the door off and you see a little thing that looks like straw a lot of times that’s not straw, that’s hemp. And it keeps in the heat and keeps out the cold.

Okay? Okay. Cool.
